One of our favorite customers, Leigh from New Zealand, purchased two 1920’s dresses from Hemlock. The first unexpectedly became her wedding dress and the other she wore to her reception. The wedding dress is an embroidered brown wool dropped waist frock with silk trim, an elaborately embroidered skirt and decorative enameled buttons. The second is a black and burgundy chiffon gown with chenille details. To top it all off, Leigh entered an Art Deco fashion show wearing the brown wool dress and won “Best Dressed.” We loved her pictures so much that we have dedicated an entire page to Leigh.
