1950’s Oleg Cassini dark blue crepe cocktail dress with wonderful mother of pearl buttons and button-hole design along the collar. Unusual cummerbund waistline that runs upward toward the center chest with tucks under the bust and tailored dart seams along the waist and hips. Fitted bust, waist and hips. Upper back has a large slit opening. Lined with a dark blue silk organza. White on black Oleg Cassini label.
Condition: Very good/Excellent. Checked inside and out for holes, stains, loose seams and wear. Only issues are a hardly perceptible dark spot on the right side front skirt, a shade darker than fabric, and a narrow line of discoloration along the shoulders, a bit purplish in color as opposed to the dark blue – not blatant and only noticed under bright lighting. Some iron shine inside, but not visible and does not detract. Otherwise dress looks and feels hardly worn.
