Description

Sweet tea-stained embroidered cotton voile 1930s 40s dress constructed from a 1910s tea dress. Gathered collar with lace trim, lace trimmed short sleeves. Centerpiece embroidered designs on sleeves, front bodice and front skirt. knit lace around the waist with an off-white satin sash running through/behind the lace and tying on the left side. This satin sash can be tightened or loosened to cinch the waist. Metal zipper opening up the left side. Keyhole opening with a tiny shell button at the back neck.

condition: Wearable, cleaned and pressed, but sold as-is due to tea-staining and wear. Dress is tea-stained and tea does not dye evenly – there are several darker tea stains, mainly on the right side skirt as shown in photos. There are several small frayed holes, pulls to the fabric, two darns and a 2″ mend on the front left skirt as shown in photos. A lot of issues, but a really cute dress and fabric. Price reflects problems.
