Pretty 1950’s illusion black net lace over white satin bodice with a black silk taffeta skirt. Square neckline with a flower and petal design lace. Cap sleeves with gored tailoring on the bodice. The waist is dipped and tailored at points in the front and dips more toward the backside. Nice touch – the flowers from the lace are decoratively appliqued around the seam to the skirt, overlapping the silk taffeta, and petals are appliqued around the neckline. Skirt is fully lined with a black acetate, bodice is lined with a white muslin. Custom made, no labels. Metal zipper up back with hook and eye closure.
Condition: Very Good. Clean with no loose seams, noticeable holes or stains. Some yellowed discoloration spots to the inside white muslin lining – not visible. There are repairable breaks in the lace, hence the reduced price. Side seams on skirt have been taken in and let out, one line of tracks from old seam on back sides.
