Description

Rare 1970s Halston black silk jersey asymmetrical evening gown. Similar asymmetrical slant-cut neckline in the front and back. High front slit in the column skirt. Elastic waist. Labels read, “Halston,” and “I. Magnin.” The real Halston, not Halston IV or Halston III. A purple version of this dress is at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA, dating the dress to 1975 (see last picture).

Condition: Beautiful dress, selling as-is. Dress has several small snagged holes. Five on the skirt, six on the right sleeve and two on the left sleeve. One tiny snagged hole on the lower front bodice. Some marks here and there that should come out with a cleaning. There are also loose seams. Missing the original sash belt. Please feel free to ask for more photos, but you are welcome to return this item according to our return policy if you are not happy.
