1950s 60s Razook’s Plaza Hotel brown fox fur shrug

In stock

Luxurious brown fox fur shrug from Razook’s, a very high-end boutique at The Plaza Hotel in New York City. Large collar and front pockets. Hook closure in the front. Lined with an unusual lace-like dark brown fabric that is backed with a brown silk. Velvet strips across the shoulders to help hold the shrug in place.

label: Razook’s The Plaza Hotel, New York City [a luxury boutique at The Plaza Hotel in NYC, with other locations such as Palm Beach, Greenwich, etc… This shrug is from the same owner as items CT136 (Bonwit Teller evening coat) And CT135 (the blonde mink jacket).]

condition: The fox fur is soft and pliable, no tears or repairs found, however the coat is shedding and will need to be conditioned. Lining is clean with no wear, stains or smell. Coat appears to have been adjusted based on the hand stitching along the front opening where the fur meets the lining – probably taken in some. Initials of original owner embroidered inside coat (VEB).
