Description
Amazing condition! 1920s/early 1930s black silk velvet dress with Victorian-inspired puffed sleeves and a gathered back tie with ruching. Draped neckline, bias-cut dropped hip with the side hip fabric gathered into the ruched back tie. The back tie snaps into place. Beautiful diagonal bias tailoring along the hips and an inverted V trimmed with tucks under the bust. The sleeves are partly puffed, partly narrow, with silk chiffon lining the upper sleeve. The narrow cuff opens with several snaps. Given the measurements, dress may have been maternity.
Label: no labels
Condition: little to no wear, no underarm crushing or discoloration, strong and wearable. No holes or stains found, appears clean with no smell or issues. The bottom hem is sewn in place, but not professionally – there is no bias tape covering the hem seam. The shoulders are narrow and the cuff part of the sleeves is tiny, please check the measurements. Luckily there is a several inch snap opening along the cuff that can be opened and left open if need be.
Measurements:
