Description
1940s 50s metallic thread Tripoli, Libya souvenir black tooled leather corset belt. Tripoli was a resort back in the 1930s/40s under Italian occupation – included a photo of a 1930s poster in the same Italian font calling Tripoli “The North Africa Winter Resort”. The belt has tooled designs with ‘Tripoli’ and floral motifs embroidered with metal thread. Crisscross corset design of leather up the front with a tassel. The tassel can be tucked in behind the belt. Silver buckle.

condition: very good, wear along edges of strap where pushed through buckle. Metal thread is tarnished. No tearing, but this is 80 year old leather – wear with care.
