Description
1950s/early 1960s cocktail dress made of a very unique earth-tone floral print velvet fabric. The fabric is a somewhat stiff cotton with flocked-like velvet that has been ‘burned out’ by another floral pattern (see close-ups). The bodice has a dipped neckline with wide tucks along the shoulders and bust. The skirt is asymmetrical with a flap jutting out along the left side of the skirt. There is a burst pattern of darts coming from the left hip across the skirt to the right hip. Back kick pleat. Green metal zipper up the back.
