1950s Jonathan Logan purplish blue velvet dress + bolero

Description

Beautiful 1950s 60s purplish blue Jonathan Logan two-piece dress and bolero set. Plush rayon velvet. Depending on the lighting, the dress can look like a deep blue or it can also look like a purplish blue. Dress has a double strap, sleeveless, gathered cummerbund waistline and back metal zipper. Pleated skirt. Bolero jacket has rhinestone buttons up the front and a peter pan rounded collar. Both are unlined.

condition: only real issue is that the dress has not been dry cleaned and there are some faint spots – these are hard to see, does not show up in photos, because the fabric is dark. On close inspection, possibly some extremely subtle darkening along the shoulders of the jacket and underarms of the dress, but does not show up in photos. A couple tiny caked in spots on an under-sleeve, see last photos. One tiny spot has lost some of its velvet, but it is under a pleat on the back zipper of the skirt, see last photos. Repaired the couple loose seams, the dress has been steamed and gone over with a lint brush. There is no smell and underarms are clean. Worth mentioning – the measurements of the jacket seem larger than the dress and may need some adjustment if you want a snug fit.
