Wow. Awesome 1950s strapless turquoise blue, brown and metallic gold tiki print cotton dress. The blue + brown color contrast is wonderful while the dress is a turquoise blue, purple, mauve and silk-screened gold print. Fitted bust and waist, massive full circle skirt. Blue tie at the front center bust. Peekaboo bust of printed fabric behind a layer of the brown and then blue fabric. Back metal zipper. [photographed with a small crinoline to show skirt]
label: no labels found, but professionally made.
condition: Fabric is crisp and bright, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Checked for any issues like stains, holes and loose seams. There is evidence of a pin having been placed on the right lapel of the brown fabric, see last photo. There are adjustments: neckline along the top has been taken in, just tucks/darts that can be easily let back out. The seams along the back zipper have been adjusted and the waist seam may have been taken up some (about 3/4″ can be let out). Full disclosure, but do not hold these issues against the dress: there are three tiny microscopic brown dots on the blue fabric in back that are not noticeable at all. I chose to leave them alone rather than risk any color fading from cleaning the fabric since they are not noticeable.
