1960s Elbief England black snakeskin purse handbag

Description

Sleek Elbief England black snakeskin purse with a goldtone metal frame. Probably c.1960s. Nice details, applying snakeskin to the top clasp, braided snakeskin handle and has feet to protect the bottom of the bag. Interior pocket and zipper pocket.

condition: Cleaned and conditioned the snakeskin after the photo shoot and it is much shinier now. Very good/excellent with a couple small scuffs and the goldtone wearing off the clasp. The bottom ‘feet’ are also covered with snakeskin and this has worn off some, for obvious reasons. The interior zipper is missing it’s chain pull, but still works fine. Will try to find a small hoop to fix this issue.
