1920s Whiting & Davis enameled mesh purse

Description

1920s Whiting & Davis enamel mesh handbag. Gorgeous colorful design – purple, orange, yellow, electric blue, grey, plum pink, dark blue, black, teal blue, white, pastel pink and blue colors. Goldtone brass frame.

label: Whiting & Davis Co. Mesh Bags inscription inside frame. M-F-N inscription inside frame also, probably the previous owner’s initials.

condition: Wonderful bright condition, enamel is excellent with only a couple of pieces showing paint loss near the edge of the frame. There is a little oxidation where the clasp meets frame and the second link up on chain has a little oxidation. No lining.
