Description

From the repair pile: 1930s light blue crepe floor length evening gown with crisp blue organza ruffles trimming the shoulders and hemline. Bias cut skirt with side godets (a flared hemline). Love the reversed design – a high neckline in the front and a plunging back neckline with a collar. The fabric appears to be a rayon-acetate blend. Fabric is sewn on the bias and therefor has some stretch.

label: no labels

condition: good condition, wearable and sturdy, sold as-is. Would be an amazing gown if dyed a darker color to hide issues. Several light water spots, a couple brownish marks and general discoloration to fabric. Some brown spots along hemline ruffle trim. I see one small frayed hole on the side bodice, under the ruffle, that has been backed with tricot interfacing to stop any further damage – not visible when worn. There is a minor run in the fabric on the skirt, may be original to the fabric – see photos. It looks like the waistline was added.
