Description

1940s Nicholas Ungár boutique orange + black side swag rayon dress. Silky lightweight rayon fabric, fruit print created with bleach burnout. I see cherries, grapes, pears and more. The bodice and hip have swags of fabric running diagonally up from right to left. The hip swag is cinched at the center with ruching. Scalloped sleeve. Side and back neck metal zipper, interior side snaps on skirt. Unlined. Perfect Halloween color combo.

label: Nicholas Ungár

condition: very good. Fabric is crisp and bright, freshly cleaned and ready to wear. Checked for any issues like stains, holes and loose seams. On close inspection there are a couple tiny holes on the left sleeve on the orange burnout, see photo. Since the photo, the fabric has been backed with interfacing to prevent any further damage and not blatantly noticeable. Again on the orange on the side swag ruching, tiny frays that no one will notice. The waist seam has been adjusted and there are very slight traces of the old seam. Dress is sturdy/wearable and presents like new.
