1940s 50s Air Step dark blue woven heels

Description

1940s 50s dark blue woven rafia-like straw strap heels, called “Caribbean straws” in an Air Step ad. Crisscross woven straw design over a net on the toes and woven straw around the heels. Black leather soles and bi-color leather insoles. Included is an image of the original ad for this shoe, the ‘Tango’. “Blended tones in natural straw – the important look in summer fashion. Famous for fit. Light…cool…airy.”

condition: no noticeable wear. Expected wear on the soles and the sole of the heel is a little splayed at the sides (see photos). Otherwise, no issues.
