Description
Awesome 1940s white gabardine studded shorts. I found the original patent on McKeever’s “Gabshort”, created in 1938. Silver rounded studs trim the pockets. Side metal zipper opening. Belt loops and slits along the back waist. **FYI, the studs are not missing on the left belt loop, there is no sign of any studs (these studs leave pulls if removed). This was done for a reason, probably something to do with the belt buckling there. I was going to rearrange the studs to make both sides identical, but since this is original to the shorts, I am leaving the decision up to the buyer.
label: McKeever’s “Gabshort”, styled in California
condition: very good for age. Fabric is crisp and bright, freshly hand-cleaned and ready to wear. Checked for any issues like stains, holes and loose seams. On close inspection there are faint marks on the shorts, see close-ups. These were hand-cleaned, but possibly a dry-cleaner can do more to get the marks out.
