Gorgeous 1950s dark blue raw silk dress with a tailored corset-style waist and pleats along the bust. Fabric is fine, light and airy with visible raw silk slubs. Cap sleeves and a sweetheart neckline. Center points on the front of the corset-style waist, lined with a black muslin. Full circle skirt. Metal zipper up the back. Unlined with the exception of the corset waist and underarms. A white crinoline is sewn in.
label: no labels, but professionally made. Came from a woman who owned a good deal of high-end 1950s clothing, from Carolyn Schnurer summer dresses to a Kiviette evening gown.
condition: excellent with the exception 3 very tiny pinholes on the skirt that are not noticeable and very slight pulling along the back waist seams.
