1960s 70s Mollie Parnis brown burnout velvet dress (repair)

Description

From the repair pile: 1960s 70s Mollie Parnis leopard spot burnout velvet and sheer chiffon cocktail dress. Illusion bodice with a brown rayon crepe bustier and a nude silk net lining. Brown silk satin band around the waist. Fully lined and finished – very well-constructed piece. Zipper up the back.

condition: The outside of the dress is in excellent condition, but the net lining right along the neckline has separated from the dress – you can remove the lining, reattach it or replace it – see last photo. My plan was to replace. Selling as-is, but the dress is clean and sturdy with the exception of the net lining around the neckline. Loose snaps and a couple loose seams along the side seams of the underskirt. Discoloration to interior lining around underarms, but not visible outside.
