Description

This plush velvet was meant to imitate seal fur, referred to as “silk seal plush”. Teens 1910s heavy black silk velvet coat with velvet buttons up the front side. Large pointed collar and cuffs, typical of coats from this period. No side pockets, but an interior pouch pocket. Lined with a black silky fabric.

condition: excellent for age, looks hardly worn, very sturdy and wearable. Checked for any issues like stains, holes and loose seams. On close inspection there is some pressing to the velvet from storage and very slight wear to edges, like the sleeve cuffs. Traces of side belt loops which have been removed.
