1940s brown silk suit dress made of brown raw silk and a polka-dotted china silk. Lightweight fabric, unlined, great for spring weather. Wonderful polka dot silk trimmed pockets and a dress bow that pulls through a slit in the front of the jacket. The jacket has 3/4 cuffed sleeves with three fabric covered buttons up the front. The dress bodice has gathered cap sleeves and a straight neckline. Metal zipper up the side of the dress.
Label: The Towne Shop, Salem Portland
Condition: Checked inside and out for holes, stains, loose seams and wear. Freshly cleaned and appears to have little wear, however there are five tiny pinholes in the silk bodice that have been backed with an interfacing since the photos were taken. These are not blatantly noticeable and the interfacing should stop the holes from growing, but price reflects condition issue.
