1940s green wool coat with Deco buttons + beaver trim

Description

From the repair pile: 100% wearable 1940s forest green wool coat with awesome beaver fur collar and cuffs. Great Deco green plastic carved triangle buttons. Padded shoulders with a large pleat running from the shoulder down the sleeve. Fur is decoratively cut and applied at the sleeve cuffs and the collar really makes this coat – folded into a pointed standup collar. Large side pockets. Green satin lining. Professionally made.

condition: good, sturdy and wearable. Coat has not been dry cleaned, selling as-is. Quarter sized darn on the front lower right side. A couple small moth nibbles which can be darned. Wear and fraying to fabric along sleeve cuff edges. Wear to corners/edges of fur, a couple spots of fur loss, see photos. One missing button, replaced with a carved Bakelite mismatched button at the top. Has a slight odor in the underarms – would benefit from a cleaning, but I would remove the fur and sew back on after it is dry cleaned.
