Description
Wonderful 1940’s/early 1950’s Lilli Ann dark gray silk suit with gored tailoring and a dramatic flared peplum. The fabric is truly beautiful. Has a silky reflective, yet fuzzy mohair-like texture with horizontal white slubs against the dark gray silk. Jacket has a stand-up collar and four fabric buttons up the front. Six gores compose the front and back, twelve total. Flipped out curved edge cuffs. Straight skirt with a back kick pleat. Lined with a gray silk crepe, skirt is partially lined. Labels read, “Lilli Annette, Diminutive” and “Import, Fabric of France, Lilli Ann.” ‘Lilli Annette’ was Lilli Ann’s early petite line.
Condition: Excellent condition. Well cared for, no holes, stains or issues. On close inspection there is very slight lightening of the crepe lining fabric at the shoulders and inside peplum, but not visible or noticeable. Very slight iron shine on the inside lining, not noticeable.
