Description

1970s al-Harbi earth tone printed cotton dress. Fabric is thicker than the gauze-style Indian dresses, thicker thread and weave. Bib-style bodice with a keyhole neckline and two pairs of ties. Decorative bead and yarn covered balls at the tie end. Wide sleeves with tucks along the shoulders.

label: al-Harbi 100% cotton

condition: No noticeable wear, fabric is crisp and bright, freshly cleaned and checked for any issues like stains, holes and loose seams. Worn very little, but the dress was worn before washing the fabric and there is pink bleeding in the underarms. This is not noticeable due to the busy print, but see last photo. Since we hand-washed the dress through many rinses, the fabric should not bleed any further. There were stray threads along the bottom sleeve seam on both arms, tried to trim most. A couple small pulls here and there, but nothing noticeable.
