1970s gauze bib Indian peasant dress old stock
Out of stock
Gorgeous 1970s Indian sheer cotton gauze dress in burgundy prints. Quilted satiny bib-style bodice with printed trim, front and back. Keyhole neckline with two sets of ties. Ties have metal bells attached to their ends. Long billowing sleeves with elastic cuffs. Four tiers of alternating fabric – a white flower print and a deep burgundy. A sheer off-white gauze under-dress from the bib down.
label: Made in India
condition: Dress is old stock/unworn. No noticeable wear, fabric is crisp and bright, freshly cleaned and checked for any issues like stains, holes and loose seams. The elastic in the sleeves was worn out from age and we had this replaced with brand new elastic. This is not noticeable, but there are tiny very faint marks on left bib from the metal bells laying against this fabric in storage. A small pull was mended on the bottom tier of the skirt – also not noticeable.
